The Administration allows the reuse of content and data worldwide without any time limitation or restriction beyond the basic conditions established in Article 8 of Law 37/2007 (citation of the source, no alteration or misrepresentation of information, and specification of the date of the last update), provided it does not contradict the license or notice that a work may have, and that takes precedence.

The Law 37/2007, of November 16, on the reuse of public sector information, which transposes Directive 2003/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, regulates the reuse of public information held by majority-participated administrations and organizations, granting the right to all potential market agents to reuse information from public instances. According to this regulation, the Administration allows the reproduction, distribution, and public communication of the work and, additionally, the transformation of the work to create derivative works, worldwide and without any time limitation, provided it does not contradict the license or notice that a work may have, and that takes precedence.

  • a) Do not distort the meaning of the information.
  • b) Always cite the source of the information.
  • c) Mention the date of the last update of the information.

Other reuse modalities

Likewise, reuse may be limited to the protection of other priority legal assets, such as the protection of personal data, privacy, or intellectual property rights of third parties.
