From page 293, you can find: The transition from safe nights to quality nights. Risk reduction in Catalonia. Summary: The night and entertainment are primarily the spaces where young people have their first contacts with alcohol and other drugs. For this reason, the Department of Health has developed over the last 15 years a strategic line of research and intervention in the field of nightlife, as it is an ideal space for selective preventive intervention. The projects developed in this area have direct knowledge of the reality of the night, young people, and consumption. They can act with some anticipation to reduce associated risk behaviors that may arise and establish themselves as a community reference, especially among young people. They also involve young people in the projects and work horizontally with the private nightlife sector. The preventive strategy Nits Q - Q de festa! (Nights Q - Q de fiesta!) offers a participatory intervention framework to develop short, medium, and long-term responses, tailored to the reality of nightlife in the territory and the agents involved. It also allows their adherence to a network of municipalities working in the same direction and feeding back the entire process. The consistency and dedication invested in this area of preventive work have made risk reduction a reference for both professionals and young users of party spaces today.
